Kyle Garrett is an emerging name in the Texas Country scene, from Houston, TX. Initially a drummer, he transitioned to guitar out of necessity to bring his song ideas to life, making waves in the Y'allternative genre.
Kyle Garrett is proudly categorized as INDIE TEXAS COUNTRY, often referred to as Y'allternative. Since 2009, Kyle has been crafting and performing original music that spans various genres, from Americana to Heavy Metal. His influences include renowned songwriters and artists like John Mayer, Tyler Childers, Kings Of Leon, Blink-182, Incubus, Parker McCollum, and many more.
Since September 2024, Kyle Garrett has released two EPs, one album, and numerous singles while performing over 300 times, headlining venues around Texas and Oklahoma. A rising star in the Texas Country scene, Kyle has supported artists such as Eli Young Band, Kody West, Logan Ryan Band, and The Great Divide, spreading the Indie Texas Country message. His debut Texas Radio release hit #49 on the TCMA Chart in November 2025 and secured a position on the TOP 200 Chart for all of 2025. His 2026 radio single "High Livin" debuted in the Top 50 and is currently climbing the charts!
